Central Cuisine is featured by its hot and spicy flavors and affected by ancient Vietnamese royal cuisine. The dishes are artfully-decorated and quite complicated. In this trip, you will have a chance to self-cook and taste authentic local meals and street foods as well as visit highlighted attractions in two UNESCO Heritage Sites in Hue and Hoi An.
Arrival at Phu Bai Airport, our guide will pick up and drive to the hotel in Hue - the ancient capital of Vietnam.
Rest of the time is free at your own leisure.
In the morning, our driver will pick you up at hotel and walk to visit Dong Ba Market- the most famous and largest wholesale market in Hue. On the road, you can enjoy the tranquil and elegant view of poetic Perfume River when walking through Truong Tien Bridge. At Dong Ba market, the instructor of cooking class will introduce about the history, tradition and Hue culinary cooking art then buy ingredients for the cooking class
After that we will come to cooking class and start learning how to cook Hue authentic local specialties under teacher’s guidance. After cooking, it is time for you to enjoy your self-cooked dishes and other food at class.
In the afternoon, we will start the city tour to explore the ancient city. The guide will take you to Imperial City which was home of Nguyen Dynasty’s Emperor and royal family. Then we take a leisure boat trip along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda the most famous pagoda in Hue, and next to Khai Dinh Tomb and Tu Duc tomb to take an insight about Royal’s life and the impressive architecture of the construction.
We will transfer back to hotel and stay overnight in Hue.
After breakfast, we depart for Da Nang by car through famous Hai Van Pass which offers a breathtaking view of mountains, idyllic beaches and villages. Upon arrival, we visit Cham Museum with great collection of Champa artifacts.
Arrive in Hoi An, the little charming ancient town which was originally one of major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century.
Afternoon, take a walk around ancient town for sightseeing, we will visit Chua Ong Pagoda, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, 200-year old Tan Ky Ancestral House and Japanese Covered Bridge.
In the evening, you can take a leisure boat trip on the river and free to explore and try a lot of famous street food in Hoi An such as Com Ga (Chicken Rice) and Cao Lau, Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich), Banh Xeo (Crispy Pancake), etc.
8:00 am: our guide will pick you up to the site then bike along peaceful road in fresh atmosphere to Tra Que organic village where provide fresh and organic veggies for whole Hoi An. You can experience some activities with the famers such as hoeing soil, watering, sowing and growing vegetables and interact with the local to learn about the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson.
After that we stop at a restaurant for cooking class. Our chefs will demonstrate how to prepare and cook Vietnamese dishes, and under their guidance you can cook tasty Vietnamese meal for lunch.
In the afternoon, we come back Hoi An.
You are free to visit until we transfer to Da Nang airport for your next destination.
