Rise up early and start the day by discovering Bolaven Plateau - the home to a number of tribal villages. Visit Tad Fane and Tad Lo waterfalls, a tea and coffee plantation. These beautiful attractions are the primary tourist destinations for further adventures into this remote province. The waterfall offers a relaxing environment and a range of guest houses and resorts styled in traditional architecture.

Transfer to Ban Kiet Ngong for overnight stay.

From Kiet Ngong Village is an extensive wetland, which is good for bird watching and day hikes. After breakfast, start trekking deep into the Xe Pian tropical forest and to Phou Asa archaeological site for a paranomic view.

The forests of Xe Pian stretch out endlessly from the wetland and are home to a great diversity of animal, bird and fish species. Phou Asa is made up of a set of towers which are believed to be the ancient fortress of an Attapeu King, however, the origins of the site remain an unsolved mystery.

Continue exploring the forest before settling down in a camp and enjoy a dinner in the wild.

After breakfast, walk to a viewpoint which provides a stunning view over large areas of southern Lao then have a delightful picnic at Mak Fang. Loosen up then walk back to your hotel in Ban Kiet Ngong.

Transfer to Don Khong Island, one of the biggest islands in Si Phan Don, an archipelago on the Mekong River. Situated in a remote area with inconvenient transportation, the Si Phan Don still retain a wild charm like a painting. You can admire the unique features of each island being immersed in sky clouds, vast rivers and surrounding landscape.

Hop on a cruise passing by the small islands to visit Khone Phapheng and Li Phi Falls - the largest waterfalls in Asia. Referred to as Asia's Niagara Falls - the famous waterfalls in the world, Khone Phapheng is the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia. Li Phi falls is the most powerfull waterfall in Don Khong, in conjunction with Khone Phapheng Falls. These are the ideal destinations for those passionate and adventurous visitors to conquer the majestic beauty of nature.

You might even see the rare pink Irrawaddy dolphins if you are lucky!

Transfer back to Pakse and get dropped off at the airport to catch a flight onto your next destination.
